Week 9

This week was a very intense week as I was producing a senior thesis, and I worked a lot on my website and trying to contact people for interviews.

Staring off with the production of the senior thesis, it was a very unorganized production and I tried my best to keep everything under control. The director had no idea of what he wanted to shoot, did not create a shot list and pretty much entire dialogue was improvised. I tried to help him with securing locations but I wasn’t sure what he wanted because he wasn’t clearly explaining it. The planning on his part was not there. Then came the weekend and it was raining all day on Friday which made it a challenge as everything was planned to shoot outside in a park. I had to go multiple times to go get towels and other equipment needed to keep everyone dry. This was definitely a challenging shoot as the director had no idea what he wanted to got and just wanted to improvise the whole shoot.

Moving on to my website, I have been changing it to accommodate the film side of my portfolio. I had mostly photography on it, but now that I have some films that I want to showcase, I had to change a few things to accommodate it.

This week I also reached out to the speaker of the seminar that I attended a few weeks ago about advertising that excites, I still have not received a response, so I am waiting on him. I have also set up another meeting with my mentor to discuss more.
